Dawson Creek Literacy Society Provides settlement-related services for immigrants
Settlement Services/Immigrant Support: We provide a wide range of settlement services in Dawson Creek. Our services include a variety of on-demand workshops on topics such as immigration, finance, Canadian culture, and other topics.
We provide assistance and information for newcomers with:
Filling out forms and applications such as MSP, Income tax, Child tax applications, Employment Insurance, and other government forms. We also provide assistance with, Job search/resume skills, Connecting with community services such as banks, schools, health care, daycare, and housing.
English Language Classes: Dawson Creek Literacy society provides free English language classes for adult newcomers to Canada who are permanent residents or refugees known as the LINC. The LINC (Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada) provides English language assessments. Click here to see schedule.
